It is always advisable to follow the official travel advice from the Dutch or Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MinBuZa). In addition, we have a number of tips:
Save numbers and addresses on your mobile phone from
The Dutch Embassy in Indonesia (Jakarta), www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl/landen/indonesie/over-ons/ambassade-in-jakarta ;
The Belgian Embassy in Indonesia (Jakarta), www.indonesia.diplomatie.belgium.be/nl ;
Possibly from the Dutch Consulates, www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl/landen/indonesie ;
Belgian Consulates, www.indonesia.diplomatie.belgium.be/nl/consulaire-diensten ;
Important contacts (parents, partners, family) in the Netherlands
Write down the above numbers and addresses in a notebook or diary, in case you lose your phone;
Make a copy of your passport and save it both (as a photo file) on your phone and in the notebook (as a hard copy);
Make sure to keep a note on both your phone and in the notebook with personal medical details, such as medication, blood type, allergies, and other important, relevant information;
Try to gather as much information as possible in advance about the places you want to visit. For example, it is useful to know which hospitals are recommended.
If you have questions regarding, for example, entry visas or other matters, please contact the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI - Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia).
